Call for participation in Artmile International Collaborative Learning 2023

Japan Art Mile implements Artmile International Collaborative Learning (AICL), aiming at cultivating global citizens who respect diverse cultures, have a global perspective and take actions to build peace and drive sustainable development in collaboration with people with different cultural backgrounds.

#Please download the Application Form below to apply.

Artmile International Collaborative Learning 2023 is endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and cooperated by Japan International Cooperation Agency.

AICL is a project-based learning that allows students to interactively and collaboratively learn about the issues facing the world today and think together solutions and their future.

What is AICL
Flow of the learning
Effect of the learning
Impact of the learning

Learning theme comes from 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students research what problems are on each side, share them and discuss what they can do to solve the problems together in order to achieve a sustainable society.

Students use Online Forum JAM provides as a communication tool, sharing their research with their partners, discussing how to solve their challenges and thinking together about what they can do for their better future, throughout the project.

Students co-create a mural (1.5m by 3.6m) by drawing halves (one by a Japanese school, the other by their partner school abroad) with a message as their learning outcome.

Please refer to AICL CURRICULUM MODEL in implementing this project in your classroom.
If you do not fit into this curriculum schedule because your school year begins at a different time, please contact us in advance. <>
